InnoTech Alberta continues to invest in their wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) capabilities by adding the latest model of cold metal transfer (CMT) welding equipment from Fronius to their facility.

This new equipment improves control of welding parameters which enables the production of higher quality builds using a wide range of welding consumables.  InnoTech has also added the Octopuz robotic programming software to the facility aiding the production of more complex designed parts.  These investments support InnoTech’s development of the WAAM process to produce large parts for mining applications. InnoTech works actively on WAAM development through the MARIOS consortium and with industry clients.
